Whether it be structural collision damage, above or below the waterline, or mechanical breakdown, our highly skilled team of technical management will ensure you are underway in good time.

Damage, repairs and renewals can be carried out either in dry-dock or afloat depending on the circumstances. Our skilled technical management have experience in carrying out underwater repairs using innovative cofferdams designed by in-house experts. Vast experience gained from working with numerous ship operators and builders has given our operatives superior knowledge of structure, mechanics, services and propulsion systems meaning we offer a total service solution for any ship repair requirements.

Our qualified coded welders possess the skills and knowledge to work within the  within the requirements of all principle IACS member organisations on both steel and aluminium ship repairs and structural renewals. Mechanical and electrical engineers are OEM trained and experienced in a broad range of equipment and
systems across various vessels and platforms.

Naval Ship Refit

With permanent management and premises inside two of the UK’s largest naval bases, HMNB Portsmouth and HMNB Devonport, we are ideally located to support the repair and refit of the Royal Navy surface fleet and any foreign flagged visiting vessels.

Additionally we have a number of ship yards and facilities in the UK and Europe directly operating under our control, ideally suited for the refit of smaller naval vessels such as those operated by UK Border Force (see ship yard facilities). We also support ship operators and builders with refit support services in third party yards all over the world.

Our internal skills set allows us to deliver all principle refit services in-house, however, if there are specific contractors you have a preference to use; we can facilitate and manage them for you.

Many of our refit customers are serviced via mutually beneficial long term agreements and give testimony to both our capability and professionalism. 

Naval Ship Refit Experience

We have significant experience in the refit of naval ships and have worked across a number of different platforms delivering a combination of multidiscipline engineering packages and standalone support services.

Historical works have included welding and fabrication, mechanical engineering across a variety of plant and systems, surveys and specifications amongst other bespoke work packages. 

Additionally we have also supplied specialist skilled personnel such as welder/fabricators, pipe fitters, slingers and mechanical engineers etc. to work under the direct control of prime defence contractors.
