Our mechanical engineers are both competent and experienced in all aspects of marine engineering including working within original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) guidelines. With a Ruston, Wartsila, MAK, Caterpillar and Paxman trained engineering team, our engineers are supported by dedicated experienced technical management, modern infrastructure and a long standing relationship and proven track record of working with all the major OEMs.

Mechanical engineering works include complete main engine and auxiliary engine strip down and overhaul, as well as ancillary machinery and equipment repairs /renewals, steering gear, shafting and propulsion machinery repairs/renewals pipework and ships control systems repairs / renewals.

We have mechanical workshops and equipment at all of our sites and have invested in the technology and skills required to support the overhaul of pistons, cylinder heads, liners, pumps and other key engine components utilising approved OEM spare parts and procedures.

Main and ancillary engine overhauls and exchanges are our most commonly delivered mechanical engineering service.

We have direct mechanical engineering experience across a wealth naval ships, such as Type 23 Frigates, Type 42
Destroyers, Type 45 Destroyers, Invincible Class Aircraft Carriers to name but a few.

We specialise in the removal and re-installation of plant including clearing the workin-way,structural works in steel and / or aluminium, slinging, pipework,electrical disconnection and reconnection.

Our mechanical engineers are:

  • SQEP (suitably qualfied experienced personnel);
  • Experienced with with all aspects of propulsion systems, including pumps, clutches, gearboxes and the overhaul of cylinder heads, valves and associatedengine room components;
  • Competent pipe fitters in the fitting, renewal, repair and replacement ofpipework;
  • Trained to carry out slinging/signalling duties as well operating a variety of
  • powered plant such as forklift truck, telehandlers and scissor lifts.
